Mend Honda XL125 Start Lines Idle

When I start my Honda xl125 it red lines & won`t go down. I have played with idle speed (throttle stop screw) but there is no change in the revs.
PLEASE can someone HELP , as I am having to walk to work most of the time until this problem is solved .

well its a problem with either the carb or the inlet manifold that it joins too.make sure the slide in the carb is in round the wrong way and if you can take the air filter off to see if the slide is going down to the bottom of the carb and that there is not a big gap at the bottom of it.ok
