How can I can I fix my Hotpoint Aquarius dishwasher?

My Aquarius dishwasher has stopped working. It powers on, allows me to select a program, seems as though it is going to work, then the Eco light starts to flash, and just makes a dry sounding dull whirring noise. It seems it won't fill with water. I've checked the in pipe, cleaned filters, etc., etc., But am stuck. Any ideas?
