ryobi pbc 3020 strimmer?

the pull start is rewound fully but jammed,i have removed many parts of the engine bits and found the piston etc to be fine so the problem must be the pullstart or clutch. i cannot get the pullstart cover off even with all screws removed do i need to remove the silver bit thats infront of this cover and if so how??? help

If you havn't found it already, you need a torx srewdriver down the centre of the ' shiny thing' where the drive shaft fits.
