how can i fix hotpoint caress 100 a?

whn i put my washer on my washing machine is filling up with water and emptying through the cycle but not going round to wash the clothes, it is going through the cycle quicker than normal but drum doesnt move. when it gets to spin cycle it first bangs and shakes then starts to spin until finished but not rinsing water from clothes. so they have been wet but not washed,
