ford focus mk1 wiper problems?

before you start buying parts here is the likely fault.i had a problem with a rear wiper not working a few months ago.fuses was ok & so was the motor.what you need to do is open up the boot & look for the rubber hose thing that all your wiring goes through from the car to the tailgate.you need to peel that back & look at the wires inside it.you might need to cut it open,i did.the chances are theres 2 or 3 wires snapped in there.they snap after all the opening & closing of the boot,after a while they just break in half.you will need to re join them with a soldering iron.i bet thats what it is.
