Mend Vivitar Vivicam 8010 Turn Battery Charge

What is wrong with my Vivitar Vivicam 8010?

I have just recently bought a vivitar vivicam 8010 and it wont turn on. i replaced the battery and then put it on charge all night (which is when the red light came on but didnt flash, it was just on continuously) and when i took it off charge the light went off but still it wont turn on. can anyone help me??!!
