Mend AEG Favorit Sensorlogic Dishwasher Button Couple

How can I fix my AEG dishwasher?

Our AEG Favorit Sensorlogic dishwasher comes on when the on button is pushed but only runs for a couple of mins and then shuts off. Has been running well for two weeks before which is how long we have lived in this house. We have no user manual. I think the washer arm at the base of the machine was impeded by a spoon poking down from the utensil basket. Do we perhaps need to "reset" the machine or is it a job for a dishwasher mechanic?! Many thanks for any assistance..
