Balck and Decker Scorpion saw stopped working?

the motor runs but no movement back and forth

My one started vibrating uncontrollably. Took it apart with a torx 15 and found that one of the the clamp retaining boltd had sheared. It is only a 1/8th bolt. Replaced both bolts, put it back together again and it's like new.

Great power when working but very dangerous when blade goes into vibration. Mechanism to grip blade in housing is a very poor design and has worked loose after very limited usage. I am unable to open the casing as the screwhead slots are of an unusual design.There seems to be a little raised dimple in the centre of the slot which restricts entry for even my broad range of screw driver attachments.

similar problem,took mine apart and found that the drive gear on the end of the motor is dropping down the shaft and disengaging.have found that if it is pushed back up the shaft it works,although it soon drops down again.cannot see how it was fixed in place to start with.was thinking of placing a star washer below it to fix it
