Mend Worcester Bosch 28CDI Boiler Diverter Valve

worcester bosch 28cdi DHW problems?

Hi, having had at least a couple of years good use of this boiler,recently the hot water when run for 2 or 3 minutes, goes cold. the boiler cuts out and then within a few seconds relights and heats the water for 2 or 3 minutes then cuts out again ( very annoying when in the shower and impossible to have a warm bath !). i have checked the diverter valve which hits the microswitch and stays there until the tap is turned off. This occurs however hot you set the water temperature. Anyone got any ideas what the problem could be ?

the pipe from the red cylinder to the pump is red hot, the pump gets very hot and the pipe leading from the pump is warm, trips off and resets itself after a cooling down periond

my worcester 28cdi trips after a few minutes pump seems to work and new heat diverter just been fitted.

bar pressure raises to 2 bar after tripping and there is a gurgling noise prior the trip

the system does not seem to be circulating

Hi there it sounds like the plate to plate heat exchanger is blocked. If this is blocked then the water will only get luke warm and the boiler will keep firing on and off. Try a new heat exchanger easy to change aswell on the cdi.
