problem with hi-grade va250d computer?

Wonder if anybody could help,
i have a Hi-Grade laptop which wont boot up.
when i switch it on, there is NO BLEEP and only the power light and wireless light is lit.
There is NO image on screen the screen stays black.
I can hear the DC/DVD drive spring into action and thats all.
After switching it on/off about 30 times it will finally come on , but after turning it off same thing happens.
