Mend Citroen Saxo Locking Central Boot

Citreon Saxo, Forte, 2002 ?

My saxo has manual locking doors (not central locking etc). Anyway, my boot door does not lock. You can push in the button and it opens. The owners manual states it should lock automatically after shutting which it doesn't. What can i do to lock it? the key doesn't turn in the lock either way aswell.

I've just taken off the plastic panel inside the boot and can manually unlock it with my hands. So it must be the lock :(

could be electrical fault but try spray of wd40 into key hole & lock mechanism.
