You should have 2 spare sata leads included with your motherboard these are to connect the external sata sockets. Connect the external sockets on the board to the onboard sockets. In front of the external sata sockets are two sata sockets, on the motherboard, place one end of the sata leads to these sockets and then place the other end of the leads into the onboard sockets for the missing sata sockets you can learn more information on the asrock web site i downloaded a pdf file for my motherboard from the asrock website.
