My Tricity Bendix DH 090's door will not shut even if empty ?

My slimline dishwasher's door will not close even if its empty. Does not want to even reach the catch any ideas

something on the door hinge has broken or jammed somewhere?
if the door does close and the metal bar at the top does enter the hole in the door But doesn't latch then it might be a broken door latch which will need replacing
