Worcester Heatslave 20/25 Lockout Light on?

I know this is an old post but it is still very relevant today. My wife completetly turned the main valve off at the tank ??. All the advice given above is spot on, but just bear in mind the distance of the tank to the boiler. Mine is about 40m away and i therefore have 40m of air to get rid of before oil gets thro. It took me approx 15 to 20 bleed attempts before the boiler fired up....So dont dispair keep at it and it will work. Paul LLew

Seems to have worked for me, bled (loosened the nut) three times and is firing okay now without locking out for th least hour.

Great advice and it worked for me! Did exactly as described and sure enough it took a couple of bleeds before all the air was bled. Pleased to say its now running sweet as a nut. Next time the wife runs our fuel tank dry she's off hire!!! Lol

Hi, not sure if anyone is still looking at this but just in case....

I have the same boiler, same issue! I think I've found the right nut to release but it doesn't seem to want to budge, which is making me a bit nervous that perhaps I'm trying to mess with the wrong thing.

The nut I'm trying to release sits on top of a protruding pipe (looks a bit like a tap) to the left of the lockout reset button with the thin metal pipe coming out of the front.

Is that the right one? Do I just need a bit more muscle?!

yes, you have to bleed the air out of the oil line. There will be a metal block to the left of the reset button and above the electric motor. It will have a very thin metal pipe going into it (the oil feed). On top of the block there is a nut. Release that nut a bit (half a turn) and press the reset button (have some kitchen towel ready underneath it). you may see bubbles coming through, the motor will spin but the boiler will probably lock out again. Retighten the nut and wait for the reset button to be active again (about 2 mins) then repeat the process. Keep repeating until the oil comes from the nut housing freely without bubbles, lock it off and the boiler should now be fired.
