r plate transit van power steering?

my mate has a transit van on a r-plate it ha power steering and 2 passenger seats in the front cab it has genuine 40,000 miles on the clock i have been his friend for 5 years now and every year i go round to his mums house to start it up where he just does'nt use it. i know this is going to sound strange or silly but he wants me to buy it off him for £200 are these a good van and is this van worth it and are the parts if needed easy to get? cam any one advise me on this please.
