hotpoint aqualtis aqxxl 149pi noisy spin?

We have the above w/machine,It seems to wash ok with no untoward noises except when on the final spin the machine vibrates quite strongly IE. it shakes and is very noisy.the machine is exactly 2 yrs old and has seen less than average use.We have tried stopping the machine and adjusting the load and even took some washing out but this has made no difference..Hotpoint AQUALTIS AQXXL 149 PI
any help please before we call a mechanic in..TIA

We have a Hotpoint Aqualtis 9D 1600 spin washing machine that started to make alarming knocking noises when it went into the spin cycle. The machine is only just over 12 months old but the problem turned out to be the front counterweight that had disintegrated, and this in turn had caused damage to the drum assembly. I know this isn't exactly the same machine model as yours, but the same principle might just apply!
