how do i fix the backlight for nokia6303 classic?

i dropped my nokia 6303 classic in water,ive dried it and it works apart from the backlight doesnt light the screen as normal and i can see the screen if i stand in the light.im sure this is simple to fix then for me to replace the phone.any help plz thanx
