Mend Beko WMA10W Shut Door Switch

How can I fix my Beko WMA10W?

Load the machine, set the programme, shut the door and switch on - it makes a few clicking noises but nothing happens. The light is on and the door can be opened - any ideas please?

Pump is fine, last night it just started up and washed!! It was still switched on following my earlier efforts. Took about 2hours to complete the cycle though. I will check the filter and pump - how do I check the brushes?

remove the filter at the bottom right corner and shine a torch in to the filter housing and make sure the drain pump impeller rotates freely.Check motor brushes
