Mend Whirlpool AW03551 Machine Model

I have a whirlpool Aw03551 washing machine?

I have owned a whirlpool washing machine of the above model now for just less than seven years. The washing machine stopped mid cycle and the light for the door is flashing. It won't contine the cycle. What is wrong with it? I've tried to open and close the door properly but it still ain't working. HELP!!!
