How to trouble shoot Sunci SS1000?

My Scunci will not longer heat up. How do you get the odd shaped screw out on bottom of unit. Is this steamer repairable if the elements stop working?

I used a pair of scissors on my gerber multi tool to get that odd screw out. I closed the scissors just a bit to get a grip around the screw and voila! Try a small pair of scissors and that should help.

I just took apart my Scunci Steamer today and that worked wonderfully. Hope that helps!
