its norm at the bottom of the tsg,(tub shell gasket)door seal,just pull it off the wire will come off with it,very simple

Many thanks for your help - I don't see a spring which is why I raised this question - is it at top, middle, side?? Or is the wirw itself a spring? Sorry for being dozy - under pressure to fix!

there is a wire that is tensioned with a spring,just pull the tsg off gently,
the kick plate norm just pulls off,you also need to remove the bezel to gain access to the 3 top fixing screws,its not a hard job,just fiddly if you have not done it before,remove the plug top from wall socket before working on the machine.you need to take the worktop off too,3 screws,
