I have a Miele condenser tumble dryer.The water from the drying process does not get to the removable tank. Instead it seems to stay at the bottom of the machine and can be heard moving around as the drum is rotated by hand
We have a Miele T7644C. Timer display is stuck on 48 minutes and will not start on any programme. Tried switching it off and back on still remains on 48. No fluff blocking any airways.

Happened to me too! You have to take off the oval back cover, maybe temporarily remove the pump and rinse the system and all passages for dust from clothes. I used a big pipette to suck out water from the pumps watertray. When you open the cover and see it you will understand it all!

It's not possible for water to remain in the drum so it could be heard if you turned the drum. There is no outer drum - like on a clothes washing machine.
It would surely leak all over the floor !
