How to dismantle, clean, old wall clock mechanism?

Altho I know where to get a replacement clockworks (Timesavers.com), for the sake of tinkering/learning experience, I wish to dismantle an original (1900's) Regulator mechanism, and asess its potential for a rebuild. It stopped years ago, no amount of fiddling revived it. No apparent abuse, it is just worn out. The best fix is to replace it, I know, but I'm curious and maybe devoted to lost causes.
The informed approach would avoid destroying a possibly useful item.
The only ID I can find is an 'S' within a diamond within an enclosing circle.
The winding shafts are 80mm apart, and 50mm from the hand shaft. The works are 15 cm wide, max and 10cm deep including shafts. The whole works are unplated brass except for the fasteners, mounts and shafts. Pendulum drop is ~30cm to bob center.

BTW, Timesavers carries clockmaker's tools and parts, and mails out an annual catalogue; my ultimate resource.

Though a very late reply but yours is a old SEIKOSHA, Japan regulator clock as per your logo description.

Phil, checkout 'Clockworks' (www.clockworks.com). I was able to take apart, clean and reassemble the movement of a spring loaded pendulum clock after reading material they sent me. Prices are included on the website. Good luck, Marty
