My Regulator Clock stopped chiming: Can I fix it?

I turned the minute hand to correct the time when I wound my Regulator. I forced it past the hour and now it won't chime at all. Wish I hadn't done that!@# Usually, I wait to wind it when the current time/hour matches the time it stopped so that when I wind it up I can start the pendulum and let it go. It is a Regulator "type" wall clock. It says "Regulator" but I don't think it is a genuine. It has two turn key peg holes - one for time and one for chime - Gee that rhymes!

Is this an antique clock and is it british clockwork? If so fairly easy to fix, all old clockwork should be alloud to strike at twelve o'clock (i know its a bit late to get this advise) if not you run the risk of bending the (racktail). This is almost certain to be the problem its a thin piece of brass with apin on the end this pin falls on the snail (piece atatched to the hour hand with twelve decreasing in diameater edges hence the name it looks a bit like a snails shell. its the tail of the racktail that is slightley bent.
