is there a special way of replacing the glass in the wing mirror ?

tried to replace the mirror in my ford mondeo wing mirror it clips in at the top but I cant get it to clip in at the bottom. The guy in the shop look for the part number under my registration so I have probably go the right part, I'm probably just not doing it correctly.

the plastic clips can be brittle so usually give them a gentle heat with an air gun before pressing on
