when i turn my heating on the pressure rises to 3 bar

hi there. the 24 hour timer has stopped rotating. when the timer is turned by hand the boiler still turns on and off but the timer does not turn on its own anymore.

The expansion vessel needs re-charging/replacing.

depends what it started at if it was above 2 bar to start with it's ok if below that and the pressure rises almost immediately then you've either a blockage in the supply pipe to the pressure vessel or in the pressure vessel or the pressure vessel is kaput or the vessel needs re-pressurising
