Mend Tefal Pro Express Turbo Steam Iron Fuse

Tefal pro express turbo?

Every time i press the steam button the electric cuts out & trips the fuse box. Checked the fuse & the socket - both fine. It has also tripped as soon as i turn it on .
Any ideas ?

Tefal Tefal Pro Express Turbo Household Appliances, Steam Irons Steam Iron Tefal Fuse

The same has been happening to mine. This isn't really an answer but I phoned Tefal for some advice and she said they could recommend a repairer or offer me 40% off a new one - still a lot though, but mine's about 5 years old so might be the solution. Maybe worth a call?
