how do i fix my 2001 1.3l ford ka??

i have had my ford ka for about 6months now, and the engine light comes on all the time, but i have had it hooked up to a computer and it says their is a problem with the throttle, but we deleted it and the light went off then i drove it to my boyfriends house and went in came out startedthe car up and it came on again, i took it to the garage but they just spoke to me like im thick so i came away, how can i just reset my throttle without it costing me a fortune!! :( help:?
