Mend Noticed Oil Smell

storage heaters?

My neighbour has noticed an oil smell really bad in her sitting room.Could it be her storage heater. Has been told it is not this, several people have looked at the appliance. She has turned it off and smell is slightly better. She is at her wits end as smell making her feel ill.
