How can I trace a gas valve for an obsolete Potterton?
I have a 50 year old Potterton boiler with a failed gas valve - number on the boiler itself is 372567 - I cannot trace a model name at all. On the boiler is a metal plate with the following numbers and codes:-
41/595/90
C135/40/BE
Potterton
GHU 1262
Cany anyone out there advise. My mother is so attached to the boiler she won't allow me to change it for a new one! So i'm trying my best.
Many thanks.

it's a Diplomat boiler the 41.595.90 is it's unique gas council number i would suggest phone potterton helpline 08706049049 with the details and they should be able say which honeywell valve it is if they say you can't get the valve any longer you may be able to fit an alternative valve
