Kenwood chef a901 repair?

Is it possible to purchase a repair manual for this machine.
After ONLY 33 years, the motor brushes wore out so I purchase spares. Unfortunately the commutator was scuffed where the brush spring had been rubbing so I had to dismantle the motor to skim the com.
On reassembly and testing, the motor overheats with no obvious cause.
I need to know how to re-assemble the field coils in the right position relative to the casing (there doesn't seem to be any location points so the field can be rotated to almost any position), and I need to know how to reset the speed control.
