salad box in fridge freezes salad?

on the hotpoint mistral plus frost free fridge freezer, the fridge temp control is external at the top of the fridge.even with the fridge temp turned to minimum the salad box still freezes some of the items in it. everthing else seems ok. the fridge is section is above the freezer section.
