What is wrong with my dishwasher?

I have a CDA dishwasher that was working perfectly one minute, then the next it has stopped mid cycle and the light which is usually illuminated continueously throughout the cycle is just flashing, and nothing is happening. I have tried switching the power on and off but it's still doing the same thing. Any ideas
