Mend Potterton EP 3000 Programmer Hot Water

Do I need a new programmer?

I have a potterton ep 3000 programmer. Having problems with my heating and hot water which I am sure is due to the programmer. It keeps clicking which makes heating/hot water switch off. I have to fiddle with the switches on the programmer on all sorts of combinations before heating/hot water comes back on a period of time before going off again. I assume I need a new programmer but can you still get an ep 3000?

i very much doubt it but most programmers come with a compatability chart describing which wires go where a reasonably competent person should be able to fit one
