Mend Zanussi WJS 1665 W Door Washing Machine

Zanussi WJS 1665 W Door locked?

I put some washing in the machine and closed the door. I went over to a cupboard to get some powder and the door locked itself. Now it won't open. I can select all the programmes but it won't start and now it's holding my washing ransome, any ideas ?

turn the power off at the wall and then remove the filter at the bottom right and let any water come out.Wait 5 mins and see if the door opens.If it doesn't release hit the door where the handle is 3 times with the flat of your hand.Could be a faulty door lock but difficult to say.
