How can I fix my murray lawn mower "dead-man" control switch?

How can I fix my murray lawn mower "dead-man" control switch? It came loose and I fixed it about a year ago, but now I cannot remember how I fixed it. I never got an owner's manual either. All I really need is a picture of the mower & I could figure it out. I went to Walmart, but they do not sell them any more.
