cannot smell the soap powder?

I have a hotpoint aquarius wml540,machine is going through the cycle but the clothes have a very damp smell and cannot smell the soap powder,I have checked the filter and cleaned out the drawer but still not solved the problem,machine is only 2 weeks out of warranty
