last night I heard a noise from the panel, beeping I didn't know what it was, this is at my mothers house. I checked fuse in spur, that is fine, I have now pulled the fuse to stop the irratating noise. does this mean the battery inside the panel needs replacing? as far as I know it has never been replaced! the outside bell is not going off just the inside
not all panels have a nvm, this retains all settings in event of power failure, your panel is in the lower price bracket,
you get what you pay for, like all things.

thanks gts I wonder if the reason it happened, there might have been a surge or very small power cut? and because the battery was defunct it reset itself to the default code, which i havent put in, i will wait for new battery and hope for the best!

yes it should,so when you replace the battery, then reset the panel,it should be ok

yes gtsI thought this thank you, i have now ordered a new battery i have seen on other forums, that when the power goes the system reverts back to the original codes is this correct? i am hoping that when the new battery is connected it should right itself, but there seems to be technical things I'm not sure of, the one thing i can't understand is why it just started beeping!

the internal battery has a life of 4 to 5 years,so its a good guess you never had the alarm serviced.you shhould get it serviced once a year,
