Mend John Deere 955 Starts Fine

John Deere 955 tach suddenly pegs ?

My JD 955 starts fine idles for 30 - 45 seconds or so and then the tachometer suddenly pegs with no RPM change. It sounds like at the same time a hydraulic bypass or something happens. Any ideas?
