immbolizers lights on saxo?

both the red and green lights come on when i turn the key( its a keypad one by the gear stick ) i enter the right code but the car wont start any ideas iv tryed a few but none work iv got it started a few times but it cuts out after a few hundred yards please help meee !!!!!!!!!!!!!
