Mend Belling Formula Three Oven Works Heats

Belling formula three oven display flashing?

My belling formula three double oven (in built) has a flashing display. The oven works and heats up perfectly (as far as I can tell).

The display keeps flashing (blinking) everytime I turn the knobs. Is it safe to use as I have an infant in the house. Is there a part that possibly needs to be replaced?

It is probably the starter motor for the flurescent tube which lights up the display which is faulty but it could also be the tube itself. I don't believe either spares can be got these days but it should still be perfectly safe to use.
