Mend Hotpoint Error Appears Fine

Hotpoint aqxxf149pi f-05 error?

We have a hotpoint aqxxf149pi which appears to wash fine then comes up with a F-05 error.
Can anyone tell me what this error is and do you think it could be a frozen outlet pipe that's causing the problem ?

Had the same problem. The F-05 error was fixed as above, clearing the hose between the drum and the pump. Ours was a sock that managed to wedge itself next to the white ball within the hose. The sock had a build up of scam, so water could not escape through, hence the F-05 error.

Thanks Tony G. I had exactly the same problem and following your instructions cleared the problem up!

The culprit was a bit of old carpet my wife decided to give a clean which had come unthread leaving a mushy mess around the white ball.

how do you get to the pump?

Solved F 05 flashing. After reading about feedback sensors on the pump (No there isn't), about loose wire (No) and checking outlet hose (still no result), I finally completely removed the hose from the drum to the inlet side of the pump and there it was; "Bra Padding" and lot's of fibre around the ball valve (White ball inside the drum to pump hose).

Turns out the F-05 error alerts the user that the drum hasn't emptied fully. The water pressure sensor, detects the water level is still present, thus not allowing the spin to take place at the end of the cycle.

The symptons for my case: F-05 flashing; very very slow trickle from the exit hose often nothing. Sometimes no problem. Removing the filtre while running (if you dare) you see an inital emptying of the exit hose, followed by nothing, even with half a drum of water! The pump impella (!spelling!) can be seen turning so pump is OK.

Hope this helps someone T :)

Took pump, exit hose, connectors, hose to drum, filter and even the exit pipe to the drain apart - all clean and no blockages. Good continuity on all electrical connectors, pump can be heard running... I can only think my next course of action will be the control board!

I have the same problem and am convinced it is a frozen outlet pipe as my dishwasher is also reacting in the same way. Bring on the thaw. Will buy a fan heater and put it near the open cupboard next to the washing machine to try to see if that helps.
