The radio/cd in my 2006 Ford KA has just gone completely dead, help!!?

The radio/cd in my 2006 Ford KA has literally stopped working overnight. Started my car and noticed the strange silence, looked at the radio/cd and it was dead as a dodo, no lights nothing. I am no mechanic and the unit looks hard to get at as it is sealed. Can anyone offer any advice (apart from the obvious) as I need my music on my daily commute. Thanks
