how can I fix my megane ignition fault?

I have a 1998 renault megane which came with one key which stopped working so changed batteries it was still the same I checked on your site and resoldered the connections it worked for one day then stopped I have tried entering the code using central locking button [code that is in the warranty booklet] and that does't work either
