Philips DVD Micro Theatre Model MCD288?

My Philips DVD Micro Theatre Model MCD288 was working nicely for about two years and I used to play audio CDs. however since two days the stand-by switch is not working as a result the system is not available to play my CDs. Please guide me how this can be repaired. Thanks.
