Mend Ford Fiesta S Fuel Reg

how do i fix my fuel needle fault?

my ford fiesta s reg does not have a digital dash but the fuel needle is constantly on full,people have told me this is a float fault ,they have tried banging it plus jacking the car up ,any futher suggestions would be appriciated, if this needs replacing would some one be able to tell me how to locate it and any tips.

Ford Ford Fiesta S Vehicles, Cars Fuel Ford Reg

Seem to recall that this car had a permanent feed to the fuel gauge so that even when the ignition was turned off you knew amount of fuel in the tank.

So if you know the tank is half empty and it still reads full, then it is a faulty float in the tank or a faulty gauge
