Presuming that the panel is new, you need to get into the programming mode. The factory preset engineer code is 1234.
If the engineer code has been lost, and provided it has not been locked, then power down the system (mains and battery). Then restore power. All of the indicator lights will illuminate for 10 seconds. Press RESET. The factory settings should now have been reloaded into the memory.
From here, as mentioned before, the engineer code is 1234.
There are loads of programming modes which really requires a manual to understand, but the following should get you started.
The factory set user code is 4321, this is (or should be) your code to press in and the press FULL. Your alarm system should now work. To turn it off press 4321.
To change the factory set user code to your own 4 figure code try the following:
Enter your existing 4 figure code (4321?). The unset light will flash. Press PROG. All the zone lights will illuminate. Enter 6 0. All the zone lights will turn off. ENTER YOUR NEW 4 DIGIT CODE. Zone lights 1, 2, 3 and 4 will illuminate in turn as each digit of the new code is entered. Press PROG. The system will chime to confirm the new code has been accepted and the zone lights will illuminate. Press RESET. The system will return to unset and the lights will go off. Your new code has been accepted.
If all of this fails it is possible that the alarm codes have already been programmed in and there's not much you can do about it other than to get an engineer to call and re programme, this may be more expensive than to simply buy a new panel (not that expensive) and swop over the printed circuit boards.
