i hit a brick on the road an now my car wil not start?

Depends upon your make of car.
At a guess the impact may have triggered an impact switch.
This switch is designed to cut off the fuel supply to the car in the event of an accident.
There is a push button reset on fords cars this is located in the lower front passenger footwell.
