How can I fix Belling dial out of sync?

I have moved into a new house with a Belling double oven and the dial showing the symbols (for grill, fan etc) is out of sync and I am having to guess what I have set it on (seems to fall differently every time). Any ideas on how to fix the dial (if easy) or how much it should cost if not a DIY job?
