how to find a switch live with a multi-meter?

3 lights in a circuit one has been opened and wrongly connected how do you find switch live in 1 light

its only a light fitting,if you cant work it out,get a electrician to fix it,

one cable will be live the other won't the one that aint is the switch wire.set your meter to ac volts, one probe on the cable the other (black) on the earth or the metal box which should be earth,this will show if you have the live wire.
